HOSA implements leadership development while maintaining focus strictly on the Health Industry. The healthcare workforce shortage is nationwide. HOSA is the pipeline for future Health Care Professionals.

Local chapters build and develop their skills from middle school through post-secondary education, enabling them to be career ready when they enter their desired field. HOSA's competitive events program is aligned with national healthcare skills standards. HOSA is 100% healthcare!

Be More Colorful

CareerViewXR CareerViewXR is Be More Colorful's flagship product that sets a new standard for career exploration. It provides curious minds with immersive field trip and job shadow experiences that are accessible from any internet connected device. CareerViewXR allows students, teachers, counselors, job coaches, recruiters, and employers to engage in authentic career conversations while eliminating the time, geographic, financial, safety, and privacy constraints of traditional in-person field trips and job shadows. North Dakota AHEC will be sharing this experience across the state through grant funding from the North Dakota Primary Care Office. Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET)

The Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) program aims to develop and expand the behavioral health workforce through improved training and by providing stipends to graduate level students in University of North Dakota behavioral health programs.

North Dakota AHEC has partnered with BHWET-ND to bridge the gap between program faculty, rural administrators and behavioral healthcare professionals to promote rural learning opportunities for behavioral health trainees in North Dakota.


North Dakota Training Academy for Addiction Professionals (NDTAAP)

NDTAAP The North Dakota Training Academy for Addiction Professionals (NDTAAP) is a consortium of members with the mission of training and preparing future addiction counselors within North Dakota. The Program provided by NDTAAP combines coursework and clinical experience, allowing for integration and application of theory and practice.

North Dakota AHEC has partnered with NDTAAP to provide valuable resources and support towards workforce development within the addiction profession. Providing a deeper understanding of the opioid epidemic within rural communities of North Dakota will result in reducing stigma, increasing engagement with medical providers and educating the youth within North Dakota communities.

Resiliency Training

Resilient Option Certified Resilience Trainer (CeRT) Program trains professionals to become instructors of the Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) model that has been implemented by several major health systems. The program has three main goals: Acquire necessary knowledge and skills of the science and art of stress resilience, develop a personal resilience practice, and learn and refine resilience teaching skills to get certified in presenting the SMART program.

Since 2022, ND AHEC in partnership with Dr. Amit Sood has provided 54 professionals with various educational backgrounds with the opportunity to become Certified Resilience Trainers. If you are interested in becoming a certified trainer, please reach out to your regional AHEC director.
